John Hibbard

...comes John Hibbard. John writes and performs acoustic country music with bluegrass and Americana flavors. Recently relocated to Nashville from Lubbock TX, he originally hails from a ranch in southeastern NM. You can find him in the Nashville area and occasionally back in west Texas as a solo act or supporting other fantastic bands. John found his love for music growing up in the church and attending local bluegrass festivals. After spending a few years as a welder, teacher, and in construction, he finally turned back to his first love. John is an alumni of Commercial Music program at South Plains College, and was heavily influenced by Alan Jackson, Ricky Skaggs, John Prine, and a myriad of small town bluegrass bands. He received SPC Outstanding Bluegrass Instrumentalist in 2021, and has had the honor of playing with the SPC Faculty Band. He currently plays in Nashville and surrounding areas with many artists, his band John Hibbard and The Haybirds, and many solo shows! John's live performances are full of original tunes laden with stories, lots of your favorite country covers, and he can and will take almost any song request you ask of him!
